Mothers and Grandmothers Join Nursery Stay & Play Sessions
This week, St Gabriel’s Nursery was delighted to host Mothers and Grandmothers Stay and Play sessions in the Baby, Toddler, and Pre-School rooms.
Held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the sessions provided a wonderful opportunity for family members to experience the joy of nursery life alongside their little ones.
Guests were warmly welcomed with hot drinks and pastries in Gabbies, a much-needed treat in the chilly November weather. From there, they joined the children in their nursery environment, where they explored indoor and outdoor activities together.
Despite the cold, the bright sunshine made for perfect playtime in the nursery gardens. Children proudly shared their favourite games, introduced their friends, and enjoyed the chance to show off their special spaces to their visitors.
The Stay and Play sessions are a cherished part of the St Gabriel’s Nursery experience, offering parents, carers, and grandparents the chance to see the nursery in action, connect with staff, and gain insight into their child’s daily life. These visits not only foster a sense of community but also provide valuable reassurance and context for families.
Nursery Manager Katie Noonan, shared: “Stay and Plays are such a meaningful way to bring families into the nursery experience. It’s wonderful to see the children’s excitement as they share their world.”
Thank you to all the mothers and grandmothers who joined us this week—we look forward to welcoming more families for future Stay and Play sessions!
