All Mrs Clarkson's  Mandarin classes had a "fun lesson" just before the half term break, they were challenged to use any materials they could find handy at home to build some Chinese characters/sentences. They imaginatively used pens, paper clips, cups, rice, spaghetti, stationery and whatever they could grab, to create characters or sentences from the topics they were studying.

In the Junior School, Year 5 have been looking at colours, Year 4 food and drink and Year 3 members of the family. Senior School pupils who are new to the school are able take up Mandarin for Beginners lessons in Year 7.
