Welcome to the Senior School
“Teacher-pupil ratios are low; academic results are excellent”.
Our Senior School offers your child an education firmly focused in the real world but with idealism at its heart. Our formal curriculum is broad and balanced with a wide range of subjects on offer at GCSE and A level. Pupils also benefit from an extensive PSHE programme, which includes skills for life, wellbeing and careers education.
We believe that children can develop their talents to the full when they feel happy and trusted in a secure, supportive and caring environment. At the heart of this philosophy is our commitment to an outstanding system of pastoral care which helps to maintain the strong bonds which exist between pupils, parents, teachers and administrative staff.
Our pupils are actively encouraged to take responsibility for others as well as for themselves. Senior pupils help the juniors in an assortment of activities and give great partisan support to their Houses during the many and varied competitions. In the wider community, the pupils share their music-making, participate in community-link projects and raise significant funds for charity.
Our pupils come to school each day with growing confidence in their ability to be successful both in the classroom and within the exciting range of co-curricular activities. We cultivate each pupil's skills and aptitudes as they move through each stage of their education so that they can face the world with assurance, grit, poise and a love of learning which will stay with them for life.
The Senior School is now co-educational in Year 7 and Year 8 and this has broadened and enriched the Senior School community. The next exciting stage in our co-educational journey will be welcoming boys in to Year 9 in September 2024.

My daughter is absolutely loving St Gabriel’s, I feel so lucky that she is there as it feels completely the right place for her to be.
