St Gabriel’s

St Gabriel’s

Principal's Welcome

St Gabriel’s is a fabulous school. We don’t need inspections or published results to tell us that — though they do! What we focus on is the individuals; their outcomes and their personal growth, rather than metrics or league tables.

Ricki Smith, Principal

Welcome to St Gabriel’s, a school which offers an innovative and inspiring education to children from the age of 6 months to 18 years.

Finding the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions that you as a parent will make; choosing an environment that will allow your child to develop physically, academically and creatively.  We are proud that a St Gabriel’s education allows our pupils, from nursery, through Junior and Senior School, to the Sixth Form to move seamlessly on to the next stage of their education with a lifelong intellectual curiosity, the ability to question and challenge and a confidence and belief in their ability.

While justifiably proud of our pupils’ academic results, we see education as being so much more than numbers and grades; we believe strongly in an all-round education and are eager for our pupils to enjoy their educational journey, rather than having their heads down as the world passes them by. That is not to say that our pupils do not achieve exceptional academic results – a glance at the recent league tables and inspection report will show you just how well they do – it is just that we aim to create the right balance in education, a place where achievement takes place, but without unnecessary and damaging pressure. Our pastoral care is second to none in supporting the transition through the different stages of childhood and school.

We are proud to be a school that allows the strength of personal relationships to form and develop.  It is our size that makes us what we are; a school for the individual, a school where your child will be noticed for all the right reasons, a school where we can enjoy community. It is from this position that we work in partnership to ensure that your child becomes the success that they deserve to be.

You only get a glimpse of life at St Gabriel’s from these website pages, so if you would like to find out what makes a St Gabriel’s education so special, please do come and see the school for yourself either by arranging a personal visit or join us at one of our Open Mornings.
