Speak out Stay safe
Miranda Aston from the NSPCC, the UK’s leading children’s charity, received a warm welcome when she came in to share their ‘Speak out. Stay safe’ message (a nationwide programme for every primary-school-aged child in the UK) with Junior School pupils this week. Miranda, bought along their very popular mascot Buddy and talked to our pupils in assembly about the importance of personal privacy and held workshops with Year 5 and 6.
“A big thank you for making me feel so welcome, it was lovely to meet all the children, who, were impeccably behaved”.

During the Autumn term, St Gabriel’s Junior School pupils will support the NSPCC by taking part in a fundraising sponsored ‘Spellathon’ to help raise awareness and funds for this worthy charity. Watch this space for an update as Miranda will return to school in October to see how our pupils get on.
