Year 6 Moving Up
The last day of term is always a special one, but particularly for Year 6 as it marks a milestone in life: the end of Junior School years. On Friday 3 July at noon as with school tradition, our Year 6 leavers came out of the black doors and rang the Leavers’ Bell in front of their families who have all been part of the Junior School community for many years.
Over the last few weeks at school they have been wearing their Mill On The Brue hoodies despite not being able to attend the residential trip. They have produced a wonderful film version of Alice In Wonderland (you can watch it here) and they have enjoyed daily PE lessons adapting many games to meet current guidelines.
Through all their activities, we have seen that they are all ready to move on to Year 7 equipped with skills, knowledge, confidence and positivity. We are exceptionally proud of all that our Year 6 pupils have achieved in their time here; they have grown together and formed firm friendships that will last a lifetime.
We wish them every success on the next stage of their journeys through life.
Bon voyage, Year 6!
