Rising Star Elodie Shines at British Schools Modern Biathlon Championships
St Gabriel’s proudly cheered on Elodie as she represented our school at the prestigious British Schools Modern Biathlon Championships. Despite being her first national-level event, Elodie showcased her talent and determination, securing an impressive 34th place out of 100 Year 5 qualifiers.
Having demonstrated her prowess with a commendable score of 1937 points at the SE Regional qualifier in January, Elodie entered the championships ranked as the 39th fastest. Undeterred by the competition, she delivered a stellar performance, achieving personal bests in both the 50-meter swim and 800-meter run.
With a total score of 2093 points, Elodie's outstanding performance propelled her up the leaderboard by 5 places from her initial qualification position. Her remarkable achievement is a testament to her dedication, hard work, and unwavering spirit, reflecting the values of excellence and perseverance instilled at St Gabriel’s.
