Junior School Celebration Day: A Showcase of Learning and Achievements
In the last week of term, St Gabriel's Junior School hosted its annual Celebration Day, a vibrant event where pupils showcased their learning and achievements from the year. The event was a delightful mix of performances, demonstrations, and exhibitions, attended by proud parents and teachers.
The day began with each year group taking to the stage to present what they had learned. Year 5 impressed everyone with a practical demonstration of the catapults they had built, showcasing their understanding of structures and engineering principles. The pupils explained the design process and physics behind their creations before demonstrating their functionality, much to the delight of their parents.
A touching moment came when the entire school sang the leaver's song to the Year 6 pupils, who received their yearbooks during this special farewell. It was a heartfelt tribute to their journey through junior school, marking the end of a significant chapter in their lives.
In addition to the stage performances, parents had the opportunity to explore an exhibition of the pupils' work. The display featured a variety of artwork and poetry, highlighting the creativity and hard work of the junior school pupils throughout the year. The exhibition offered a wonderful insight into the diverse range of activities and subjects covered, celebrating the children's talents and accomplishments.
Celebration Day was a joyous occasion, filled with laughter, pride, and a sense of community. It was a wonderful way to conclude the school year, reflecting on the growth and achievements of all the pupils at St Gabriel's Junior School.
