Pupils explored the intricate film props and examined miniature model boxes—scaled-down versions of the sets, designed to ensure every detail was captured before full-scale construction. This insight into the creative process offered a deeper appreciation of the craftsmanship behind the films.

Afterwards, the pupils had the chance to explore the legendary studios in full. From stepping into the awe-inspiring Great Hall to wandering down Diagon Alley, the tour brought the wizarding world to life. The magical Harry Potter in the Snow experience added a festive touch, with snow-dusted sets enhancing the seasonal charm.

The day also included demonstrations of animatronics used to create magical creatures, a journey through the Enchanted Woods, and a close-up look at the stunning masks and costumes crafted for the films. Pupils had plenty of hands-on fun too, piling into the famous flying car and even taking turns on a broomstick to experience a bit of wizarding flight. The trip was a truly fabulous day, combining learning with the thrill of experiencing one of the most beloved fictional worlds ever created. It’s safe to say that Year 8 returned home with memories as magical as the Harry Potter universe itself!
