Junior Christmas Fun Run: Festive Fitness and Team Spirit!
On Friday 6 December, the Junior School embraced the holiday season with their much-anticipated annual Christmas Fun Run.
The grounds of St Gabriel’s were alive with festive cheer as pupils from Years 3 to 6 took part in this exciting and inclusive event.
The course proved to be both challenging and scenic, starting outside Mr. Smith’s office, winding around the school fields, past the netball and tennis courts, looping around the lake, through the woods, and finishing in the gardens near the library. Dressed in their sports kits, the students brought a festive twist with Santa hats, reindeer antlers, and elf ears, adding holiday spirit to their determined runs.
The morning kicked off with Years 5 and 6 racing first, followed closely by Years 3 and 4. The competitive element took a backseat as camaraderie and encouragement shone through, with pupils cheering each other on throughout the course.
Elodie and Henry (Year 6) secured top spots in the upper Juniors race, while Barney, Harvey, and Hettie (Year 4) crossed the finish line as the top three for the lower Juniors. However, the real triumph of the day was the spirit of inclusion and fun.
The Junior Christmas Fun Run was a wonderful way to combine fitness, friendship, and festive celebration—proving once again that at St Gabriel’s, everyone is a winner!
