Fathers and Grandfathers Nursery Stay and Play

This week, our Nursery was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed fathers and grandfathers for a special series of Stay and Play sessions on Monday 10, Wednesday 12, and Friday 14 February.

The mornings began in Gabbies Café, where our guests warmed up with a hot coffee and a delicious bacon or sausage bap before heading into the nursery to spend quality time with their little ones.

The sessions followed a free-flow structure, allowing families to explore both the indoor and outdoor learning spaces at their own pace. The children took great pride in showing off their favourite toys, games, and activities—whether it was messy play trays, breakfast for bugs, tower building, the pirate ship, cars, busy boards, or imaginative role-play games.

One of the lovely aspects of these events was seeing the excitement and joy generated by these visits - not just for those with family members in attendance, but also their friends who were eager to welcome new playmates into their daily routines. The more, the merrier!

Our Stay and Play sessions are always a highlight of the nursery calendar, providing a wonderful opportunity for families to experience, first-hand, the engaging and nurturing environment at St Gabriel's Nursery. A huge thank you to all the fathers and grandfathers who joined us—we hope you enjoyed it as much as the children did!
