The English Department have been busy marking the St Gabriel's Certificates and Diplomas.  This remote learning project was an amazing opportunity for students in Year 11 and Year 13, and their very excited teachers, to explore content outside of the exam specifications.

Our pupils revelled in the freedom to explore different authors and texts, and to create their own literature; they rose to the challenge of independent study magnificently. Some of the highlights were a study of 'Haruki Murakami and his Influences',  a quarantine poetry anthology and an exploration of 'Female Protagonists Throughout Literature, 50 CE – 1963'.
