Saunders Sisters Shine in Cross Country Season

We are incredibly proud of Harriet (Year 8) and Matilda (Year 5) Saunders for their outstanding recent achievements in cross-country running. Their hard work and talent have led to impressive results at both regional and national levels.
Last weekend, Harriet competed in the prestigious English Schools Cross Country National Championship after being selected to represent Berkshire — an incredible honour, as only eight students from each county were chosen. Harriet had a fantastic race, finishing 109th and placing in the top third nationally — an amazing feat, especially considering she was a year younger than most of the competitors. This marks the end of a brilliant season where Harriet has already secured 2nd place in the Independent Schools Association National Championship and helped her team to a 2nd-place finish in the County Championship. We can’t wait to see what she achieves in the upcoming track season!
Younger sister Matilda has also enjoyed an incredible season. She placed 3rd in the U11 Girls Oxfordshire Cross Country League, 2nd in the Team Kennet U11 Girls League, and 5th in the U11 Basingstoke League, where her team were crowned overall winners.
Huge congratulations to both Harriet and Matilda on their phenomenal performances — we are so proud of you both!
