Sixth Form Embarks on Boundless School Trip for Team-Building and Adventure
Before the start of the school year, Year 12 and Year 13 went on a residential to Boundless Outdoors to create a more unified 6th form community in the coming year.
. It was a great way to start the academic year!
We did many activities such as the quad pole, archery, crate stacking and the high ropes. The difficulty of completing some of these challenges, such as the quad pole where we had to use teamwork and communication to fit 4 people on a small (and very wobblily) platform, encouraged us all to bond with our classmates.
The instructors of Boundless helped encouraged everyone to face their fears and provided opportunities for the new 6th form to support each other and work together. For example, another activity we did was problem solving in which we had to work together in a game of ‘the floor is lava’ to reach one side of the field to the other. It was inspiring to see how everyone came together to complete the challenge!
The activities were split across two days and the night we stayed over, we went on a walk around the hills of the area and even got to try some water from the fresh springs.
The residential was a fun combination of slightly terrifying (the quad pole) and fun, and I'm excited to be able to go again next year!
