Year 8 completed an innovation challenge related to using new technology to solve an issue relating to health care. They then met real-life scientists, engineers and technologists and got to experience how they utilise new technology in the running of their businesses. Companies that they heard from included BT, AWS, Haleon, Viasat and J.P. Morgan. They also listened to an inspirational talk by Alex Lewis, who has overcome unimaginable challenges to develop new technology in the world of prosthetics and improving the lives of amputees.
