Y3 Visit to Butser Farm
Year 3 journeyed through time to explore the lives of ancient people at Butser Farm in Hampshire.
Our pupils spent a rather damp but wonderful day visiting the site, which is a living, working ancient farm, where archaeologists research historic technologies to test their theories on how people lived in olden times. Year 3 loved getting stuck in to the hands on activities, including chalk carving, making Stone Age-style cordage, creating wattle and daub, and exploring Bronze Age dwellings. Certainly not your average Monday morning classroom lesson!
