Year 6 generosity and kindness!
A fantastic display of kindness from Nancy R and the rest of Year 6!
Year 6 pupils at St Gabriel's School enjoyed a busy week of challenging outdoor activities on their week's residential in Somerset before half-term.
They took part in a wide range of activities including canoeing, rafting, climbing, rifle-shooting and tunnelling at the Mill On The Brue centre in Bruton. At the end of the week, Head Girl Nancy Redmond suggested to the group that they donate all their leftover pocket money to help homeless people who were less fortunate than themselves. After collecting all the change up, Nancy had £34.82 which was donated to Newbury Soup Kitchen.
I was really impressed with Nancy's idea and the generosity of all the children. They had worked together brilliantly through the week and this was a lovely way to see their kindness and caring sides.
