Back to School
St Gabriel's welcomed pupils back in to school on 7 September. To support the safe return of all pupils booklets on Junior & Senior School arrangements were created to provide guidance on how the School will operate in the Autumn Term..
Junior School
The staff worked hard to set up safe systems and routines.
A child-friendly version of the Autumn Term arrangement booklet was made available for all children to support their return and Class teachers provided further information relevant to each year group during the first week back in school.
Senior School
The Senior School staff welcomed all girls back into school. The Autumn Term Arrangements booklet explained how the school will operate and Form Tutors went through the arrangements at the start of the Autumn Term.
The Heads of School sent out videos to help pupils familiarise themselves with the new arrangements and Director of Music, Dr Tebbs explained arrangements for peripatetic music lessons from 7 September and Mrs Goodman-Mills updated all those using school transport.
School Buses
Arrangements have been sent to current users of our school transport. Visit School Transport for further details.
Wearing of Masks
Regarding the use of face coverings, as per the updated government guidelines (25/08/20), we are happy for Senior School girls and staff to wear their own masks in corridors and communal areas should they wish. However, at this time it is not mandatory. We feel that we have put extensive measures in place, along with good sanitisation to allow school to function effectively. Please be aware that the guidance is updated regularly and often at short notice and all our measures are under constant review with any subsequent changes to policy and practice.
Please be aware these arrangement are subject to constant review and change at short notice and ask that you as a family follow government guidelines closely, outside of school, to ensure that the safety of our school community is not compromised in any way. We are very pleased to have pupils back in school.
