A select group of our Year 5 pupils joined forces with enthusiastic participants from Overton Primary School and St Nicholas C.E. Junior School for a day brimming with language-themed fun.

The event saw the children dive into a variety of activities, from interactive quizzes to singing, exploring languages from around the world. The pupils impressed us all with their efforts in German, Italian, French, and even Mandarin – true linguistic athletes in the making!

A well-earned Italian-themed pizza lunch kept everyone fuelled, and the day concluded with a prize-giving ceremony (with tea and cakes, of course!) in front of proud parents. It was a wonderful celebration of language and culture, perfectly timed with the European Day of Languages.

A huge well done to all the pupils who took part – we can’t wait for next year’s Language Olympics!
