Drama Workshop - Inspires Pupils
On Friday 8 November Katie Lusby a representative from the internationally renowned theatre company Punchdrunk came into school to run a workshop for our A level Theatre Studies students and Upper School Drama Scholars.
They explored how to develop Punchdrunk's immersive style of theatre in a range of site sympathetic activities that opened their eyes to this interactive style of theatre, creating a meaningful experience and inspiring them to believe in the power of their imagination.
"It was fantastic to see the girls exploring a world of theatre outside of their comfort zone. I cannot wait to see their inspiration being used in the classroom".
MRS CHAPLIN - HEAD OF DRAMA
At the end of the workshop the students ideas of theatre had been challenged and explored in a way they have never imagined could be possible. They considered performance without a story leaving the audience responsible for their own theatrical experience.
"It has changed my whole perception on theatre".
