The Young People's Book Prize aims to promote literacy in young people and to inspire them to read about science. It also supports the writing of excellent, accessible STEM books for under-14s.

Pupils in Year 7 & 8 read the shortlist of books provided by the Royal Society and submitted their verdicts based on five categories to give an overall score out of 20. These results have been sent back to the competition for a winner to be declared in March 2023!
