Bugsy Malone 2023
St Gabriel’s took to the stage at Arlington Arts on Tuesday 7 March and Thursday 9 March for the Senior School performance of Bugsy Malone, directed by Head of Drama, Ruth Chaplin.
The audience enjoyed a fantastic display of Drama, Music and Dance in this highly entertaining comedy. Our excellent Bugsy Malone, performed by Issy (Year 9), was caught up in a splurge war between two rival gangs in the 1920s New York. Fat Sam was performed by Natasha (Year 9) and Dandy Dan by Isabella (Year 8). Both pupils gave incredible performances!
Elodie (Year 8) as Fizzy, performed a stunning rendition of ‘Tomorrow’, showcasing superb vocals and outstanding characterisation. Apple (Year 9) was spellbinding as Blousey Brown. She fully showcased her talent in all three art forms! Maia (Year 9) performed as Tallulah with a forthright attitude showing a clear strength of character.
This Senior School production of Bugsy Malone showcased the wide selection of talent across the school. The cast performed a selection of musical numbers choreographed by Head of Dance, Mrs Hastings. These performances were complimented by the exceptionally talented and professional band. Alongside them was the very talented Dr Tebbs, and Director of Music, Ms Woodhouse.
Well done to the entire cast for two fantastic performances. Thank you to all who came to watch our Senior production. If you would like to purchase any images from the show, please click here.
