St. Gabriel's Celebrates British Science Week with Engaging Experiments
Last week, St. Gabriel's was buzzing with excitement as students immersed themselves in a plethora of captivating experiments to celebrate British Science Week. From burning metals to dissecting fish heads, the ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering, and maths showcased the school's commitment to hands-on learning and exploration.
Under the guidance of enthusiastic teachers, students eagerly delved into a variety of experiments designed to ignite their curiosity and deepen their understanding of scientific concepts. Using Bunsen burners, they heated liquids to observe changes in state and created gases, while also exploring the properties of different metals by observing the colors of flames they produced when burned.
One particularly memorable activity involved the dissection of fish heads, providing students with a unique opportunity to examine the anatomy and biology of marine life up close.
