Senior School Embraces the Wonders of Science During British Science Week
The corridors of the Senior School were abuzz with excitement and curiosity as students delved into a week filled with fascinating experiments and captivating discoveries during British Science Week. From dissecting fish heads to exploring the colourful flames of burning metals, the week was a celebration of the marvels of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
British Science Week, organised by the British Science Association, is a ten-day extravaganza that celebrates the wonders of STEM through entertaining and engaging events and activities across the UK. At St. Gabriel's, the week provided a platform for students to unleash their creativity, curiosity, and passion for science.
Throughout the week, students immersed themselves in a series of hands-on experiments that showcased the diversity and excitement of scientific exploration. From dissecting fish heads to examine their gills and understand how they breathe oxygen in the water, to observing the vibrant hues of flames produced by burning metals, each experiment offered a unique glimpse into the natural world and the principles that govern it.
