Bronze for St Gabriel’s Pupils at Judo Competition
On Saturday 9 November, three talented St Gabriel’s pupils competed in the Inter Independent Schools Judo Competition at the High Wycombe Judo Centre, achieving an impressive trio of bronze medals.
Molly R (Year 7), Ember H and Beth F (Year 8) demonstrated skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day, each earning a well-deserved third-place finish in their respective groups. The competition was organised by height and weight categories, ensuring a challenging field for all participants.
Judo is one of the many after-school clubs offered at St Gabriel’s and is a popular choice amongst pupils. Ember, Molly, and Beth have trained hard during their sessions, building the skills and confidence that contributed to their success at this event.
Competing individually, Ember, Molly, and Beth showcased their hard work and resilience on the mat while contributing to the fantastic atmosphere of the event. Their success reflects the dedication and effort they have put into honing their skills in this dynamic sport.
We are incredibly proud of their achievements and for the way they represented St Gabriel’s with distinction. Congratulations to Ember, Molly, and Beth on their outstanding performances and bronze medal victories!
