Rowan Saltmarsh gained A* in Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science, Physics and her EPQ and will go on to read Engineering at Cambridge. Anna Stirk achieved A* in Spanish, English, History and her EPQ and an A in Latin she will go on to read History at Cambridge. Principal Ricki Smith said, “We are incredibly proud of all our students today. This year’s excellent results are a testament to our students’ work ethic, commitment and the dedication of our fantastic teaching staff.
After a record year in 2018, 2019 has seen a 26% rise, as 67% of all results were at A* - A.”
Principal, Ricki Smith, added “At a time when more young women are being encouraged into STEM subjects, to have 100% of all Mathematics and Computer Science entries coming in at A*- A is great to see. Likewise, for languages which have also been much in the news, we are delighted to have 100% at A*- A in Spanish and Italian and the equivalent in Mandarin.
“To achieve 67% of all results at A*- A and 93% A*- B is excellent, but St Gabriel’s is about more than academic excellence; we have created an environment of educational balance. We fuel our pupil’s intellectual curiosity and broaden their horizons, developing their confidence and self-belief and ultimately ensuring that they achieve their academic potential.
"We wish all our students well in the future and look forward to hearing of their continued success.”
