Congratulations to our talented young chef Selina, Year 9 who impressed judges to be crowned winner at the district final of the Rotary Young Chef competition on 1 February at St Gabriel’s School.

Six budding chefs were tasked with creating a healthy three-course meal in under two hours with a maximum budget of £20. Selina had previously won her local heat and this round saw her judged on costing, planning and the quality of the meal produced.

The winning menu included a starter of Tortellini, a Sea bass main course and Panna cotta as dessert.   

Good luck to Selina who will compete in the regional final on Saturday 7 March.
