Art and Photography Students Explore London’s Creative Heart
Art and Photography students from Years 10 to 12 enjoyed an inspiring day in London this week, as part of an enriching trip to the National Portrait Gallery and The Photographers’ Gallery.
The day began at the National Portrait Gallery, where students participated in a guided tour, diving deep into the stories and techniques behind iconic works. A dedicated workshop allowed them to focus on the pieces that captured their imagination, fostering creativity and sparking insightful discussions.
Meanwhile, the Photography students set off to explore the vibrant sights of Carnaby Street, using its characterful backdrop to hone their own photography skills. From street scenes to urban details, the bustling environment provided countless opportunities for creative expression.
The group reconvened at The Photographers’ Gallery, where they explored a breathtaking collection of photographic art. The exhibitions showcased an incredible variety of styles and techniques, leaving students inspired and eager to experiment with their own projects.
This trip was an invaluable opportunity for our young artists and photographers to connect with the wider world of art and develop their own creative voices.
