Equestrian Success for St Gabriel’s Pupils at NSEA Eventers Challenge
We are delighted to share the recent equestrian achievements of two talented St Gabriel’s pupils, Clare M (Y12) and Sophia L (Year 11), who competed at the NSEA (National Schools Equestrian Association) Eventers Challenge at Rectory Farm near Cirencester last Friday.
The Eventers Challenge is a thrilling competition where riders tackle a challenging course of both coloured and natural fences against the clock. Clare, riding Wee Famous Seamus, had an exceptional performance, finishing 3rd in the 100 cm class and 8th in the 90 cm. Meanwhile, Sophia, riding Production, placed a strong 13th in the 80 cm class. Although she retired in the 90 cm class, her earlier success was a proud achievement for both her and the school.
Thanks to her impressive results, Clare has now qualified for the prestigious Eventers Challenge Championship at Hickstead, which will take place next May. We’re excited to support Clare as she prepares for this significant event.
The St Gabriel’s equestrian team is set to compete again in various events in November, and we look forward to cheering them on as they continue to make us proud in the equestrian arena. Congratulations to Clare and Sophia on their achievements!
