Hengistbury Head is a dramatic headland in Bournemouth situated to the south of Christchurch Harbour. It is an outstanding site for wildlife and archaeology as well as beautiful beaches and views across the New Forest, Isle of Wight and Purbecks. On Monday though, the weather was less seaside heaven and more stormy shoreline, with dramatic blustery conditions. Our Year 8s faired admirably in the battle against the elements, to complete their investigations into various coastal processes, including measuring longshore drift with oranges. They also discussed erosion and coastal management in the area; Geography in Action!
