Year 7 Welcome French Lessons with a Très Bon Brunch!

This week, our Year 7 pupils celebrated the start of their French studies in style with a surprise French-themed brunch in the school library, organized by the Languages Department.

The event marked the transition from Spanish to French lessons and was designed to spark excitement for the new subject.

The library was transformed into a charming French café, complete with Parisian music, French flags, and a delectable spread of pastries. Pupils enjoyed croissants, pain au chocolats, and madeleines as they soaked in the festive atmosphere. Adding to the fun, Mrs. Ferreti, Mr. Oxley, and Mrs. Cox welcomed the students dressed in delightful French-themed outfits, setting the perfect tone for the occasion.

As they enjoyed their café-style treats, pupils participated in an engaging introduction to the French language, answering questions and practising phrases in small groups. The interactive session offered a light-hearted and memorable way to kick off their studies.

We hope this enjoyable start will inspire Year 7 to embrace their French lessons with enthusiasm and continue to build their confidence and skills in the language throughout the year.

Bon courage, Year 7! We can’t wait to see your progress!
